Julia Lodoen

PhD Student

Julia Lodoen is a PhD student in the MIT Department of Political Science and affiliated with the Center’s Security Studies Program. She specializes in security studies and international relations. Her research interests include nuclear strategy and deterrence, civil-military relations, and political violence, with a focus on South Asia. Prior to joining MIT, Julia was a Junior Fellow in the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago.​​
