Security Studies Program (SSP)
A graduate-level research and education program, SSP integrates the technical and political analysis of security challenges into its curriculum. Coursework emphasizes conflict causes and prevention, grand strategy, military operations and technology, and defense policy.
Seminar XXI
Seminar XXI educates leaders in the US government’s national security community. It links policymaking and academia by bringing together military and civilian executives with scholars from MIT and beyond.
Global MIT At-Risk Fellows (GMAF): Ukraine
Selected faculty and researchers from universities in Ukraine or the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences are invited to spend a semester at the Institute, learning MIT’s unique approaches to research and teaching.
MIT-Empowering the Teachers (MIT-ETT)
MIT-ETT fellows are a cohort of faculty from Nigerian universities who spend an intensive semester at MIT, learning innovative, creative, and student-centered teaching strategies in computer science education.
Global Diversity Lab
Studying the relationship between human diversity, development, and dignity, MIT’s Global Diversity Lab investigates the unique challenges and opportunities that impact increasingly diverse societies, both in the US and around the world.
MISTI
MISTI empowers MIT students to engage in tailored international internships, teaching, learning, and research. They apply what they learn on campus to global challenges while exploring the world and engaging with new perspectives.
Policy Lab
The Policy Lab bridges the gap between MIT research and public policy to amplify the impact of the Institute’s ongoing work on policy-based initiatives.
BRICS Lab
The BRICS Lab investigates the BRICS group both as a geopolitical actor and as a case study of shifting patterns in global governance.
