Security Studies Program (SSP)
A graduate-level research and education program, SSP integrates the technical and political analysis of security challenges into its curriculum. Coursework emphasizes conflict causes and prevention, grand strategy, military operations and technology, and defense policy.
Seminar XXI
Seminar XXI educates leaders in the US government’s national security community. It links policymaking and academia by bringing together military and civilian executives with scholars from MIT and beyond.
Global Fellowships
MIT-Empowering the Teachers and the Global MIT At-Risk Fellows-Ukraine host international scholars for a semester-long experience that includes mentoring and pedagogical training, as well as the opportunity to collaborate on research with our faculty.
Global Diversity Lab
Studying the relationship between human diversity, development, and dignity, MIT’s Global Diversity Lab investigates the unique challenges and opportunities that impact increasingly diverse societies, both in the US and around the world.
MISTI Global Experiences

The BRICS Lab investigates the BRICS group both as a geopolitical actor and as a case study of shifting patterns in global governance.
