Apply now for the second round of the Undergraduate Fellows Program, an initiative created to enhance MIT undergraduates’ understanding of and engagement with international politics and policy.

The program supports 4-6 Fellows each semester who demonstrate strong interest in global issues such as climate policy, foreign relations, security, democracy and human rights, trade, and international technology governance. It is open to MIT undergraduates from all majors who have completed a substantive international experience through MISTI, D-Lab, PKG, or another MIT program.

Fellows will work 6-8 hours per week supporting and collaborating with CIS research staff, visiting fellows (including senior policy professionals), and other CIS affiliates. Responsibilities include research assistance and contributions to global education and communications projects. In addition, Fellows must be available on Mondays from 12:00-1:30 PM to participate in the Global Research and Policy Seminars (GR&PS) and in Fellow cohort meetings. Students will be paid at the standard UROP rate.

To apply, students should submit a statement of interest and a list of relevant coursework via the application form by February 3, 2026.
