Tyler Sagerstrom

PhD Student

Tyler Sagerstrom is a PhD student in the MIT Department of Political Science and affiliated with the Center’s Security Studies Program. He specializes in security studies and political economy. His research interests include economic interdependence, causes of war, signaling, and text-as-data. Prior to joining MIT, Tyler worked at the Stimson Center's South Asia Program in Washington, D.C. He graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary with a BA in International Relations and Economics.
