Thomas Van Bibber

Thomas Van Bibber is a PhD student in the MIT Department of Political Science and affiliated with the Center’s Security Studies Program. He specializes in security studies and quantitative methods. His research interests include nuclear and space security, escalation dynamics, and commercial actors. Prior to joining MIT, Thomas was an assistant researcher at the RAND Corporation, where he also received an MPhil, as well as a research associate with the Center for Global Security Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Thomas also holds a BA from Duke University, where he studied Public Policy and Physics.
