Phil Haun is a professor and director of the US Navy's Deterrence Studies Institute at the Naval War College. His research focuses on coercion, deterrence, and airpower. His latest book is Tactical Air Power and the Vietnam War: Measuring Effectiveness in Modern Air Warfare (Cambridge, 2024). Phil is a retired Air Force Colonel and A-10 “Warthog” pilot.
