Odinakachukwu Chidinma Echeta
Odinakachukwu Chidinma Echeta is a lecturer in the department of civil and environmental engineering at University of Lagos, specializing in water resources and environmental engineering. She holds a PhD in water resources engineering and management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana, with her research interests focused on applying emerging technologies such as remote sensing, machine learning, and alternative energy to address water and environmental challenges in data-scarce regions like West Africa, enhancing sustainability and resilience. In addition to her teaching role, she serves as a course facilitator for the World Bankāsponsored SPESSCE project at the University of Lagos, where she delivers advanced certificate courses in environmental standards following specialized training-of-the-trainers programs. With over five years of academic and field experience, she has published research outputs in international journals and presented at global conferences. Passionate about shaping future innovators, she aims to integrate evidence-based practices, curriculum development, and technology to enhance student engagement. Through MIT-Empowering the Teachers Program, she seeks to refine her pedagogy and advance sustainable educational impact.
