Nicholas Blanchette

Nicholas Blanchette is a PhD candidate in the MIT Department of Political Science and affiliated with the Center’s Security Studies Program. He specializes in security studies and international relations. His research interests include nuclear security, emerging military technologies, and signaling in international relations. His dissertation research evaluates how states manage and reveal information about novel military technologies in the context of peacetime competition. Nick is also an adjunct researcher at the RAND Corporation. Nick holds an MPhil in International Relations with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science with Honors from Colorado College.
