Miriam Hinthorn
PhD Student
Miriam Hinthorn is a PhD student in the MIT Department of Political Science and affiliated with the Center’s Security Studies Program. She specializes in security studies and international relations, and is a Walter A. Rosenblith Presidential Fellow. Her research interests include emerging technology, crisis escalation, nuclear strategy and deterrence, and energy security. Before coming to MIT, Miriam worked as a research specialist at the Brown University Climate Solutions Lab, as well as a Princeton in Asia Fellow. She holds a BA in Political Science from Brown University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
