Fiona Bare

Postdoctoral Associate

Fiona Bare is a postdoctoral associate at the MIT Center for International Studies. Starting in July 2027, she will join the Department of Political Science at MIT as an assistant professor. Fiona studies international political economy and global environmental governance, with a focus on climate finance and the role of firms in climate policymaking. She received her MA and PhD in politics from Princeton University, where she held the Prize Fellowship for Social Sciences and was a graduate affiliate of the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance. Fiona also holds a BA with honors in philosophy, politics, and economics from Claremont McKenna College and before entering academia, worked as a strategy consultant in the social impact sector.
