Alyona Glushko

Alyona Glushko is a materials scientist and mechanical engineer with over 10 years of experience in research, higher education, and applied R&D in the energy and power engineering sectors. She holds a PhD in materials science from the EO Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She has held academic and research positions at National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and national research institutions, where her work focused on welding technologies, structural integrity, creep resistance, and durability of welded joints in power equipment, steam pipelines, and turbine rotor steels. Glushko has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects aimed at extending the service life and improving the reliability and energy efficiency of critical infrastructure. Her work bridges fundamental materials science with real-world industrial applications. Glushko has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, patents in welding and thermal protection technologies, and is a recipient of prestigious awards, including the President of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists.
