Abubakar Sadiq Ahmad

Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Ahmad is a visiting research scholar. Sadiq is also auditing courses at the EECS. He is a faculty member at the School of Electrical Engineering and Technology, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. 

Sadiq’s research interests span power systems planning, operations, and optimization, utilizing simulation and analysis tools including MATPOWER, PSAT, and MATLAB. He has contributed to international projects, including the Artificial Intelligence for Clean Energy (AI4CE–2019) Development funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is currently working on the Homegrown Clean Energy (HCE 2024–2027) Solution under the EU Intra-Africa Mobility Program. 

Sadiq is the recipient of the 2019 IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Scholarship. He is passionate about bridging cutting-edge research with real-world impact.
