Jacobovits wins MIT Excellence Award

The Center would like to congratulate our colleague Ari Jacobovits for receiving an MIT Excellence Award in Innovative Solutions. He was recognized for his exceptional work as the managing director of our MIT-Africa Program. His nominator praised his dedication to shaping the MIT-Africa Program into “the nexus on campus for research and entrepreneurship.” Under his leadership, the MIT-Africa Program expanded to include funding academic research, providing seed funds for business ventures, and sponsoring units on campus to bring African scholars and researchers to MIT. We are thrilled that he is being recognized along with other outstanding colleagues across MIT.
