BRICS on the rise

Ahead of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, Mihaela Papa, director of the Center's BRICS Lab, spoke with the Financial Times about the grouping’s growing global influence and the US response to its rise. She noted that explicit US threats directed at BRICS countries signal that the grouping is increasingly being perceived in Washington as a geopolitical challenge.
