Tracing Innovation in Brazil: A Book Launch and Breakfast Conversation

We are pleased to invite you to join MIT-Brazil and the MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) for the launch of the English edition of A História da Inovação no Brasil (The History of Innovation in Brazil).

This special event will bring together leading Brazilian MIT faculty and innovation experts to explore the forces shaping Brazil’s scientific and technological landscape.

The program will feature a fireside chat with co-author and MIT ILP Program Director, Christy Garcia, who will share key insights from the book and offer an engaging perspective on Brazil’s innovation trajectory—from pioneering breakthroughs to the dynamic ecosystem driving advancements today.

During the event, I will highlight the work of the MIT-Brazil and MIT-Amazonia programs, including recent initiatives connecting students, faculty, and partners across Brazil and the Amazon region. Yuri Ramos will also present an overview of the MIT Industrial Liaison Program and its collaborations with industry partners in Brazil.
