Professor Elena Kempf, from the MIT History Department, will give a presentation at the MIT Security Studies Program's Wednesday Seminar.

Summary:Professor Kempf will discuss the modern history of weapons prohibitions, examining the techno-utopian, techno-optimist, and techno-pessimist responses to new weapons developments between the 1860s and 1930s.
