The event is hosted by the Afeyan Initiatives for Armenia (AIFA) in Yerevan, Armenia.
The MIT Global Seed Funds Program in Armenia provides grants to support early-stage collaborations between MIT and universities and research institutions across Armenia. The program enables exploration of research areas and projects that may benefit from expanded international cooperation. The program in Armenia is made possible through the generous financial support of the Afeyan Foundation.
Speakers
Christopher J. Palmer is the Eastman Kodak Associate Professor of Management and an Associate Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he teaches corporate finance. His research focuses on how credit, real estate, and labor markets respond to periods of significant upheaval.
Grigor R. Hayrapetyan is an Associate Professor of International Economics and Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations at Yerevan State University, where he has taught since 2005. His research spans international trade, foreign economic policy, Armenia’s economic development, and Armenia-EU economic relations.
Ekaterina Zabrovski is Managing Director of the MIT-Eurasia Program and MIT Global Seed Funds Program in Armenia.
