Mary Adejoke Ajala
Empowering the Teachers Fellow

Dr. Mary Adejoke Ajala is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering. She is also a research fellow at the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAPS) Program. Her research focuses on the application of nanotechnology in materials development and innovations relevant to environmental engineering, catalysis, renewable energy, and water treatment. Beyond her scholarly contributions, she is a STEM advocate, and deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of global leaders.
