Boren Awards provide a unique funding opportunity for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study specific languages in world regions critical to U.S. national security interests. Boren Scholarships provide undergrads with up to $20,000 for 1-2 semesters of language study in a country generally underrepresented in study abroad. A special initiative for STEM students offers $8,000 for a summer program. Boren Fellowships provide grad students up to $24,000 for overseas study and up to $30,00 for a combined international and domestic program. For more information, visit the event page.
