Undergraduate Fellows Program
CIS invites applications for its Undergraduate Fellows Program, designed to deepen engagement between MIT students and the world of international politics and policy.
The program supports 4–6 fellows each semester who demonstrate strong interest in global issues such as climate policy, foreign relations, security, democracy and human rights, trade, and international technology governance. It is open to MIT undergraduates from all majors who have completed a substantive international experience, either through MISTI, D-Lab, PKG or another program.
Fellows will work 8-10 hours per week—including Mondays from 12:00-1:30 pm—supporting and collaborating with CIS research staff, visiting fellows (including senior policy professionals), and other CIS affiliates. Responsibilities include research assistance, contributions to global education and communications projects, and regular participation in the Global Research and Policy Seminars (GR&PS). Fellows will be paid at the standard UROP rate or may participate for credit.
To apply, submit a statement of interest and a list of relevant coursework on the application form by September 6.
