CIS awards 15 summer study grants

Fifteen doctoral students in international affairs at MIT were awarded summer study grants. Each will receive up to $4,000. Suzanne Freeman and Mariel Garcia-Montes were awarded the fourth annual Guillemin prize. The Center is pleased to support the work of an outstanding and varied cohort from across the Institute.

Three PhD students from the MIT Security Studies Program were selected for World Politics and Statecraft Fellowships by the Smith Richardson Foundation, Inc. for dissertation research.

CIS Summer Study Fellowship call for applications

The CIS Summer Study Fellowship competition is open to advanced doctoral students in international affairs at MIT, regardless of their home department. Students may apply for summer funding for dissertation research or writing that has an international component. CIS Summer Study Fellowship awards are intended to support student stipends and/or field research expenses.
